At the CTCA she was able to experience first hand oncologists and naturopathic doctors working together to assist individuals with cancer--keeping the patient as healthy as possible with natural medicine while under going conventional cancer therapies.

Dr. Collier became very interested in natural medicine while working in a local emergency room and finishing her undergraduate degree in biology. "I have always known that I wanted to become a doctor ever since I was a child, but I became very disenchanted by the almost impersonal approach toward patients in the conventional healthcare system. I wanted to have a stronger connection with patients. I wanted everyone I saw to be treated with dignity and compassion. I needed to find a way to truly help people. I was about to change my course of careers when I stumbled upon naturopathic medicine. Once I learned what a naturopathic doctor (ND) was I knew I had found my calling."

Dr. Collier is the co-founder and past president of the Virginia Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.  At this time Dr. Collier holds her license in the state of Vermont. VT099-0000132
